The National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) has appointed Elise Swerhone to the position of Manager of Programs and Development. Swerhone will manage and co-manage the NSI Drama Prize and NSI Features First training programs respectively. She assumes her position on Tuesday, November 1.
An award-winning writer, director and producer, Swerhone’s extensive body of work includes the feature documentaries TuTu Much and Ballet High, episodes for the Adventures of Shirley Holmes, Miss Manitoba, Now & Then and several documentaries for CBC’s The Nature of Things.
“NSI is excited to add Elise, a well-respected member of the Canadian film community, to our staff,” said Melissa Kajpust, Director of Programming at NSI. “She is a great fit for the position and we look forward to having her work with the filmmakers taking part in our programs.”
