While the anxiety, clumsiness and embarrassment of the situation [runs] through everybody’s mind at the time, in hindsight, it’s a scenario ripe with comedic potential.
That was my goal with this movie – finding the humour in the otherwise heavy situation.”

Daniel D’Alimonte is polishing his feature version of The Haymaker, based on his short film of the same name which premiered at the DGA First Cut series in NYC/Los Angeles, won audience awards at Sacramento, WilliFest, the Action on Film Festival and received special mentions at Starz Denver International Film Festival and the Bermuda International Film Festival.
Recently, his films have been featured in the NSI Online Short Film Festival, on the acclaimed Short of the Week Series and selected for Vimeo Staff Picks.
An alumni of Chapman University and the Canadian Film Centre, he lives with his fiancée Shelley and his boxer dog Naslund.
