Attend the pre-broadcast screening of Muneeza in the Middle

Muneeza in the Middle, a new broadcast documentary directed and produced by Hoda Elatawi (NSI Global Marketing), screens at a pre-broadcast viewing in Toronto at CBC’s Glenn Gould studio on January 19 at 7 p.m.

Muneeza in the Middle is a one-hour documentary about a fashion-savvy lawyer who feels pressured to give up her flashy lifestyle and become a ‘good’ Muslim mother. Hoda spent five years documenting this fascinating and often ironic struggle between faith, family, fashion and, ultimately, identity.

Hoda and Muneeza Sheikh, the film’s subject, will take part in a Q&A after the screening.

Muneeza in the Middle will also be broadcast on CBC’s documentary channel on January 21 at 9 p.m.

Tickets to the screening are free, but pre-registration on Eventbrite is recommended.

Register to attend the screening.
