NSI Drama Prize films screen at Women in Film and Television Festival

The Goodbye Girl

The Goodbye Girl, from Amber Ripley and Michelle Kim, and The Underground, from Michelle Latimer and Kerry Swanson (both NSI Drama Prize films), are screening at the Women in Film and Television Festival in Vancouver on March 5.

The Goodbye Girl is a surreal tale about the relationship of a lonely ‘reaper’ – who escorts the newly deceased into the afterlife – and a neglected young boy.

The Underground is a visceral portrayal of an Iranian man’s struggle to fit into western culture. Anticipating a fresh start, he discovers Canadian life is not what he had dreamed.
