NSI welcomes Angela Heck as manager of digital media programs and development

The National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Heck to the position of manager – digital media programs and development.

She comes to NSI from her position as director of business development at Tactica Interactive. Previously she worked as senior communications officer at CBC, industry program manager at Whistler Film Festival, and in public relations at the National Film Board of Canada.

“We’re excited to have Angela on the team and to have her working specifically on NSI’s digital initiatives,” said Brendon Sawatzky, NSI director of programming. “Digital and transmedia are an important part of Canada’s changing film and media landscape, and Angela’s extensive experience in digital media, marketing and filmmaking make her the perfect person for this role.”

“I’m happy to be joining NSI and I look forward to developing and managing programming that will see NSI expand its expertise into digital,” said Angela. “NSI is known for the quality of their training and I’m pleased to be contributing my experience in this field.”

Angela, an NSI Features First grad and documentary filmmaker in her own right, has already worked on the most recent TELUS STORYHIVE training session delivered by NSI in Vancouver.
