NSI grads nominated for DGC awards

The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) award nominees were announced yesterday. Congratulations to the NSI alumni who made the list.

Best Feature Film

  • Corner Gas: The Movie from executive producer Virginia Thompson and consulting producer Robert de Lint (both NSI Features First)

Best Television Movie – Miniseries

  • Bomb Girls: Facing The Enemy from creator Michael MacLennan (NSI Drama Prize)

Allan King Award for Excellence in Documentary

  • The Boy From Geita from associate producer John Bolton (NSI Drama Prize, NSI Totally Television)

Best Short Film

  • The Underground – an NSI Drama Prize film from writer/director Michelle Latimer and producer Kerry Swanson

The DGC awards will be presented on October 24 in Toronto at the Carlu.
