Sonya Ballantyne’s Crash Site premiering at Gimli Film Festival

Sonya Ballantyne (NSI New Voices) won the RBC Emerging Filmmakers Competition last summer for her pitch on short film Crash Site. She won $10,000 to put towards the making of her film.

Fast forward a year, and Crash Site has been made and is premiering at Gimli Film Fest during this year’s RBC Emerging Filmmakers Competition.

It screens on July 25 at 10:30 a.m. and will be accompanied by this year’s RBC competition entrants with their pitches.

Crash Site tells the story of a displaced young girl, her overwhelmed older sister, and a superhero that brings them together.
