Congratulations to Rezolution Pictures’ Catherine Bainbridge and Christina Fon (both NSI Global Marketing) on their film RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World celebrating its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

RUMBLE tells the story of an essential and, until now, missing chapter in the history of American music: music icons talking about some of their biggest Native influences.

The film features music icons like Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Pat Vegas (pictured), Jesse Ed Davis and Randy Castillo.

A long list of music artists, historians, family members and experts participate in the film including Buddy Guy, Tony Bennett, Taj Mahal, Martin Scorsese, Steven Tyler, Iggy Pop, Wayne Kramer (MC5), Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Taboo (Black Eyed Peas), Slash (Guns ‘N’ Roses) and many others.

The film was inspired by the popular Smithsonian Institution exhibit Up Where We Belong: Native Musicians In Popular Culture created by Tim Johnson and Stevie Salas (both executive producers on the film) for the National Museum of the American Indian.

Sundance runs from January 19 to 29, 2017.
