Vancouver Film Critics Circle awards for Werewolf, Hello Destroyer

Congratulations to the NSI grads who received awards from the Vancouver Film Critics Circle.

Werewolf (pictured) from Ashley McKenzie and Nelson MacDonald (both NSI Drama Prize) was named best first film by a Canadian director along with a $500 Telefilm-sponsored cash prize. Lead actress Bhreagh MacNeil was also recognized for her work in the film.

NSI nominated Werewolf (formerly Train Whistle Does Not Blow) for the Telefilm Canada Micro-Budget Production Program in 2015.

Hello Destroyer from exec producer Trish Dolman (NSI Features First) was named best Canadian film and best BC film. The best BC film award included $500 each from the BC branch of the Canadian Media Producers Association and another for the director provided by the Directors Guild of Canada – BC District Council.
