Live On

In 2012, 15-year-old Olivia Jollota passed away from an accidental prescription drug overdose.

Her mother, Dale, has made it her mission to ensure that Olivia’s memory lives on, while educating others on the dangers of experimenting with prescription drugs.

Filmmakers’ statement

Since her daughter’s death, Dale has shared Olivia’s story with as many people that will listen. Even after experiencing such a tragic loss, Dale continues to be Olivia’s voice and educate others on the dangers of prescription drugs.

Dale’s strength and courage inspired us to create a film of reflection and education. Due to the rise in opioid abuse in Canada, we believe Olivia’s story is important and timely.

While the local media has covered Dale’s activism, we think the documentary platform gives viewers a more in-depth look at who Olivia was and her impact on those around her.

Through Live On, we believe viewers will come to understand Olivia’s vibrant and ‘larger than life’ personality.

We hope Olivia’s story will resonate with you as much as it did with us.
