NSI grads win 2019 Yorkton Golden Sheaf Awards

Fast Horse / Link to Yorkton Film Festival

The 2019 Golden Sheaf Awards were handed out last weekend at the Yorkton Film Festival in Saskatchewan and NSI alumni took home the following awards:

  • Best of fest, Indigenous award, Multicultural award (under 30 minutes): Fast Horse (pictured) from director Alexandra Lazarowich (NSI IndigiDocs)
  • Multicultural award (over 30 minutes), Documentary POV: STORYHIVE 100K project Finding Big Country from director Kathleen Jayme, producer Michael Grand
  • Digital media: Biidaaban: First Light from director Lisa Jackson (Featuring Aboriginal Stories Program)
