NSI Features First-developed film Hunter Hunter by writer/director Shawn Linden is currently in post-production.
Shot in Winnipeg, the film includes many NSI alumni as crew members: Darren Wall (NSI Features First) is visual effects supervisor; Roger Boyer (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs, NSI Storytellers) is assistant production coordinator; Ryan Cooper (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs) is second assistant director; BJ Verot (NSI Drama Prize) is stunt coordinator/stunt double; and Justina Neepin (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs) is production coordinator.
In the film a mysterious predator eludes an aging detective and a cunning outdoorsman to corner and terrorize a woman and son trapped in a remote forest cabin.
