DGC Awards

Congratulations to this year’s winners at the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) awards.

Inconvenient Indian, directed by Michelle Latimer (NSI Drama Prize), won the Alan King Award for Excellence in Documentary.

Beans, directed and co-written by Tracey Deer (NSI Storytellers, Featuring Aboriginal Stories Program), won the DGC Discovery Award.

The DGC received over 300 submissions this year in both film and television from across the country. The ceremony was held online from October 24 to 27.
