Mary Galloway nominated in CBC’s Proud to Shine celebration

Mary Galloway

Congratulations to Mary Galloway (TELUS STORYHIVE) for her nomination in CBC’s Proud to Shine campaign.

Proud to Shine selected Mary as a prominent member of the LGBTQ2+ community in Manitoba. Mary is driven to tell stories about her community and is currently working on a web series about a love story between two Indigenous Queer women.

Mary seeks out opportunities for representation in her work. She portrayed an Ojibway Queer artist in her first feature film, Ruthless Souls, produced by Darcy Waite (NSI IndigiDocs, CBC New Indigenous Voices).

This was CBC Manitoba’s first Proud to Shine campaign. Mary was selected along with five other people who create positive change in their community.
