David Zellis (NSI Totally Television) and Craig Guiboche (CBC New Indigenous Voices) of Zellco Entertainment will host a virtual screening of the Manitoba-made dark comedy Smoked Lizard Lips on February 19.
Smoked Lizard Lips, originally released in 1991, follows a recently deposed Central American dictator who relocates to northern Manitoba to start a new repressive regime.
The film’s re-release will be streamed through Countryfest Community Virtual Cinema in Dauphin, Manitoba. A portion of the ticket sales will go towards keeping this local movie theatre funded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
