Registration for The 48 Film Festival Manitoba will open on Sunday, March 21 at noon, CT.
The 48 Film Festival, a partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival, is Canada’s first unified, time-based film challenge where filmmakers will write, shoot, edit, score and produce their films in just 48 hours.
The challenge takes place from June 11 to 13. The top two films from each province/territory will be selected to screen at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto in March 2022.
All teams that register and complete a project on time will be screened locally in each participating province or territory. The best films in Manitoba will premiere at Gimli Film Festival 2021.
Teams can register for the youth category (age 14-25) or the adult category (age 26 and up). The festival will accept up to 36 teams per category.
Registration is first come, first served and spots will fill up fast. For more information on how to register, check out the 48 Film Festival website.
