APTN Web Series Pitch Competition

APTN and imagineNATIVE are now accepting applications for their 2021 Web Series Pitch Competition.

Submit your two-minute pitch video to qualify for the competition. Applicants must be Indigenous to Canada and apply as a producer/director team (director can also be screenwriter).

Selected competitors will work with mentors to hone their pitch and present in front of an online jury on October 20. The winner will be announced during the imagineNATIVE Awards Ceremony on October 24.

The winner will receive:

  • $30K (maximum) web series licensing agreement with APTN
  • $10K production budget from Bell Fund
  • $5K in-kind grant from William F. White
  • $1K in post production services from Formosa/The Picture Shop
  • $1K for imagineNATIVE-supported crowdfunding web page
  • Two passes to the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival
  • Two Women in Film and Television memberships

Previous winners include Mary Galloway (TELUS STORYHIVE), Jessie Anthony (NSI Art of Business Management), Ryan Cooper (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs) and Adeline Bird (CBC New Indigenous Voices).
