The National Screen Institute appoints Liz Hover to director of operations

The National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) proudly announces the promotion of Liz Hover from director of communications to director of operations.

In this role, Liz will work alongside National Screen Institute CEO, Joy Loewen and the senior management team to ensure efficient and effective workflow within the organization.

Using her communication and creative skill set, Liz will be responsible for the development and evaluation of training initiatives, internal communication system organization, managing budgets and overseeing staff and new hires to create growth and equity.

“We’re at a very special moment in the National Screen Institute’s development and growth and I’m proud to support our incredible team as we navigate it together,” says Liz. “This new position allows me to meaningfully contribute to strengthening the organization as we serve storytellers across Canada. I am over the moon and ready to get started.”

Liz’s dedication to the mission and vision of the National Screen Institute is evident through her 18 years of work with the organization, serving in a number of positions. She has elevated internal communications, developed the National Screen Institute’s online presence and was pivotal in initiating the switch to online learning. She is currently leading a major rebrand of the organization and redevelopment of its website, both of which will launch later this year.

“Liz has been instrumental in leading pivotal strategic and operational initiatives and developing systems to streamline the way we work,” says National Screen Institute CEO, Joy Loewen. “Her passion for the National Screen Institute’s vision and positive energy constantly encourages and drives us all forward to achieve our mission.”

Liz began her new role on January 10.
