Alumni films stream for free through NFB all month long

Throughout March films including nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up from Tasha Hubbard and Snow Warrior by Frederick Kroetsch will be available to stream.

Alumni presence at Berlinale

The festival runs online from March 1 to 5, streaming five alumni films. NSI IndigiDocs grad JJ Neepin was selected for this year’s Berlinale Talents; and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, program co-manager and director advisor, serves as a panelist.

Ian Bawa’s film Strong Son optioned by Farpoint Films

The film centres on a South Asian bodybuilder who moves back into his elderly father’s house to take care of him. Production is set to begin in 2022.

Alumni films stream at Kingston Canadian Film Festival 2021

Includes films from Tracey Deer, Wendy Hill-Tout, Rachel Cairns, Corey Marr, Amanda Strong and Kent Donguines. The festival runs from February 26 to March 7.
