Alumni projects stream online at DOXA Documentary Film Festival


11 alumni films will stream at the festival with many alumni nominated for awards such as best Canadian director and best short documentary. Takes place from May 6 to 16.

TELUS STORYHIVE film Walking With Plants gets world premiere at Hot Docs


Leigh Joseph, a Sḵwxw̱ú7mesh Nation ethnobotanist, moves back to her traditional territory of Squamish and contemplates her relationship with plants and their role as teachers. The film will premiere on April 29.

Alumni shortlisted for Whistler Film Festival Talent Programs


Andrea Feltrin, Carla Robinson, Alexandra Caulfield and Lauren MacKinlay are among those shortlisted for the screenwriters lab and producers lab.

Alumni nominated for 2021 Canadian Screen Awards

Alumni talent showcased at Hot Docs 2021


Twelve alumni films will stream at the online festival, which runs from April 29 to May 9. Lisa Jackson will participate in the 2021 Hot Docs Forum to win funding for her film, Wilfred Buck.
