As Johnny transforms into a higher being, everything he knows is changing. Time, breathing, thinking and communicating will soon be non-existent – for just him.

He finds himself in a race across the city to give his girlfriend one final kiss before that too no longer exists.

Director’s statement

Natalie Lisa Johnson says:

“I created “I” to address the chaos that has been circulating around the 2012 Doomsday.

When reading about the shaman theories of 2012 I thought that if life, as we know it,  is going to change I would want one last kiss to hold on to some simplicity.

Every film I create is about my now. “I” is my current now.”

About Natalie Lisa Johnson

Natalie graduated from Toronto’s International Academy of Design and Technology with honours. Soon after graduating she wrote and produced her first short film entitled Synapse. It was an official selection of the LA Short Film Festival, the Palm Springs Film Market and sold for distribution to Ouat Media.

She then worked with established cinematographer Kit Whitmore, (Rocky, Boondock Saints, Saw II andLittle Mosque on the Prairie) and Rick Wincenty, (Outer Limits, The Highlander and Friday the 13th) as a teachers assistant in Toronto-based seminars.

With advice and guidance from her mentors, Clement Virgo and Lee Daniels, she wrote and made her directorial debut with the short film Making Sense, which was an official selection of the 2010 Salento International Film Festival.

Natalie also directed a documentary for Sarah Harmer’s (Juno award winner) Ontario Government funded PERL Burlington Mount Nemo film.
