Director’s statement
Evan Chan says:
“I have always been a fan of boxing. Everything from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky series to the stories of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, the world of boxing has always inspired me.
Through making this film I confirmed my belief that boxing does not deserve the negative image that is often associated with it. Having the opportunity to do a documentary on a well-known local fighter from Vancouver as he fought at the events put together by a group of promoters trying to bring the sport back to the lower mainland was definitely a positive experience.”
