History

NSI Aboriginal Journalism was designed to train eight participants to be job-ready and armed with the tools needed for a successful career in journalism, be it radio, television or online.

Participants advanced their existing broadcast and/or online journalism skills or gained the necessary skills to enter the journalism field from another related sector.

The program was delivered through a combination of workshops and case studies taught by experts in the field. Participants learned firsthand what it was like to work in a newsroom through a four-week internship at a media outlet.
