Congratulations to Alex Lazarowich (NSI IndigiDocs), one of the honourees of DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40. This award celebrates emerging talent in the documentary world.

Alex is an award-winning Cree producer, director and screenwriter from Northern Alberta. In 2015, Alex directed her documentary Cree Code Talker though NSI IndigiDocs. The documentary went on to win first place at the Hot Docs BravoFactual short pitch. Her most recent documentary Fast Horse won a Special Jury Award for directing at Sundance Film Festival 2019.

Along with her fellow winners, Alex will be honoured during a private online celebration as part of the DOC NYC festival.
