Amazon Prime Video, in partnership with the Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) and the Black Screen Office, announced the launch of a new pitch program for BIPOC screen content creators.
The new pitch program awards 10 grants of $10K to BIPOC creators who successfully pitch their scripted or unscripted projects to Amazon Studios. They will also receive guidance from Amazon Studio executives.
Amazon Prime Video also committed to donating $1.3 million to ISO’s Solidarity Fund and Indigenous Development Program to support BIPOC Canadian TV and film creators facing hardship due to COVID-19.
This donation to the Solidarity Fund – launched by ISO, the Racial Equity in Media Collective (REMC) and BIPOC TV & Film – and the Indigenous Development Program will support diverse creators with funding for projects and professional development for both individuals and BIPOC-owned companies.
Applications are now open for the new pitch program. Learn more about application guidelines and how to apply on ISO’s website. Applications close March 5.
