Creative Pathways BC

Rachel Young

Outreach and Engagement Lead

Creative BC has launched Creative Pathways BC, a new online platform designed to increase the province’s motion picture workforce through more fair and balanced representation.

The platform will highlight career opportunities for everyone above-the-line in creative leadership roles, within animation, VFX and post-production roles, and in creative support roles where below-the-line crew build careers across tech, trade, business and the arts.

Creative Pathways BC was designed to provide more accessible opportunities for underrepresented groups including Indigenous, Black and People of Colour, LGBTQ2AI+, People with Disabilities and women.

As a first step, Creative Pathways BC is accepting applications for the WarnerMedia Access Canada’s national equity program, Access to Action. Application deadline is August 15.

The full website will launch this October with resources, tools, meet-ups and connections to real people working across the industry.

Sign up now to get updates on the platform and new opportunities in the BC film industry.

Creative Pathways BC is an ongoing strategic partnership between Creative BC and the Motion Picture Production Industry Association.
