NSI IndigiDocs film wins top choice at Reel Pride

NSI IndigiDocs film êmîcêtôcêt – Many Bloodlines was awarded Jury Choice Top Short Film at the Reel Pride Film Festival Winnipeg. This award includes a William F. White International Inc. $1,000 grant and a $350 cash reward.

The film, directed by Theola Ross and produced by Alex Fisher-Bailey, follows an interracial LGBTQ+ couple and their journey to parenthood. It was previously honoured at Hot Docs 2020 with the Betty Youson Award for Best Canadian Short Documentary. The film also screened at Fresno Reel Pride LGBTQ+ Film Festival in California earlier this month.

Reel Pride Winnipeg celebrates queer media arts and brings awareness and understanding to global issues. The 35th annual festival was held virtually from October 13 to October 18.
