Roger Boyer, with the support of LA Skins executive director Patricia Gomes, has curated a special program of Manitoba films by Indigenous creators for the 17th edition of the festival.
The Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers Collective film program screens on Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m. PT, in Hollywood.

- The Tomahawk developed through NSI New Northern Voices by Steven Bignell and Stuart Matheson
- Zombies Don’t Eat Stupid People developed through NSI Series Incubator by Darcy Waite (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs, NSI Art of Business Management) and Cynthia Murdock (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI Series Incubator)
- EPHEMERA by Olly King (CBC New Indigenous Voices)
- Mémère by Rachel Beaulieu (NSI IndigiDocs) developed through the RBC Emerging Filmmaker Competition, Gimli International Film Festival 2022, with National Screen Institute mentor Sarah Simpson-Yellowquill
- Unless You Have Been There by Farrah Murdock (CBC New Indigenous Voices)
- Lucky Man by Amanda Kindzierski (CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs)
Roger attended LA Skins in 2022 where he forged valuable industry connections that led to this special screening. He and filmmakers Rachel Beaulieu, Farrah Murdock and Amanda Kindzierski will be at the festival, with Roger providing mentorship and on-the-ground guidance. He will also host a Q&A at the screening.
Roger is a graduate of CBC New Indigenous Voices, NSI IndigiDocs, NSI Art of Business Management and NSI Storytellers. Support for his mentorship was generously provided by On Screen Manitoba.
