CEO

Happy first day of spring.

Even in these changing and uncertain times, I’m grateful for so many things. A few items topping today’s workplace gratitude list are:

It’s with this spirit of gratitude I approach the challenge and change of leading operations through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our training model is rooted in portability and designed to provide personalized professional development training to storytellers regardless of their physical location. While the team has implemented social distancing strategies recommended by the Manitoba government including working from home and stopping non-essential work-related travel, our nimble, market-driven training courses allow us to continue training students with some adaptations. There’s a Maya Angelou quote that says:

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”

Encouraged by these words, the team will do all we can to enable everyone in the NSI family to stay calm and carry on while heeding the advice of government and medical officials and do our part to slow – and hopefully stop – the spread of this infectious disease.

I encourage you to stay informed with updates from Government of Canada Public Health and the Government of Canada’s Travel Health Advice and Advisories.

We, the team, wish the very best to you and yours.

Take good care. Be well.
