Danis Goulet named to rising screen star list

Danis Goulet (NSI Drama Prize) is featured as one of Canada’s seven rising screen stars by Now Toronto – in celebration of National Canadian Film Day (April 22).

Danis’ latest project is the sci-fi feature Night Raiders. She is the writer/director of this Canada-New Zealand co-production, with executive producers Oscar®-winner Taika Waititi, and NSI alumni Lisa Meeches (NSI Storytellers) and Kyle Irving (NSI Global Marketing). Current NSI Totally Television participant Eva Thomas is an associate producer.

Danis wrote and directed the award-winning short film Barefoot with Christine Kleckner through NSI Drama Prize. The film celebrated its world premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and won a best short award at Berlin International Film Festival. Danis also executive produced Michelle Latimer and Kerry Swanson’s award-winning NSI Drama Prize film The Underground in 2014.
