According to Professor Barry Truax, Vancouver’s ambient noise should be considered psychologically and artistically impacting. And what better way to put this theory to the test than at Fuse, a giant multidisciplinary art party at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This film is an illustration of how Vancouver’s soundscape can affect its people – whether they’re aware of it or not.

About Ben Dextraze

Ben Dextraze is a Canadian actor, writer, and director.

He was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, and started his acting career while in high school.

He then attended university in both Kamloops, BC and Edmonton, Alberta, continuing to act professionally while undergoing classical training at the University of Alberta’s prestigious bachelor of fine arts acting program.

He then worked in theatre, television and film before founding his own new media production company Iconochasm in 2013.

He currently lives and works in Vancouver.
