Director’s statement

Pardis Parker says:

“Two Men, Two Cows, Two Guns was the follow-up to my first short film, Afghan, and I looked at it as an opportunity to develop as a comedic writer/director/editor.

Our tremendous cast consisted of John Dunsworth (Trailer Park Boys), Levi MacDougall (Important Things with Demetri Martin), Sherry Smith, Murlane Carew and young Christopher Bearne, making his on-screen debut.

Our crew, equally tremendous, included cinematographer Christopher Porter (Brokeback Mountain) and Halifax-based composers Asif Illyas and Shehab Illyas.

The film’s success, which includes a Canadian Comedy Award nomination (Best Director) and selection to the Semi-Finals of NBC Universal’s Short Cuts Film Festival, is a direct result of the entire team’s efforts before, during and after production.”
