Snow Angel

Josh returns home after completing a photography job abroad.

His childhood friend, Grace, has recently passed away. In honour of her, he holds a memorial at a local gallery by exhibiting photos of her.

Director’s statement

Jen Wilkinson says:

“I was always taught the importance and value in personal relationships (family, friendship or romantic) of saying the things you want to say and telling someone what they mean to you while you have the opportunity to do so.

This is certainly no easy feat and, while it can lead to good things, it can also lead to heartache.

I decided to take the essence of this idea and build a story around it for this film. I hope it reinforces the importance of making the most of the time we have with those who are significant in our lives.”

About Jen Wilkinson

Jen received degrees in both Media Information and Technoculture from The University of Western Ontario and Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University.

She discovered her passion for screenwriting while completing a thesis project which involved writing a spec script of the Warner Bros. series Gilmore Girls. This project received praise from industry professionals, including writers from the television shows Ed and Soul Food.

Jen has more than five years of production, communications and marketing experience. Snow Angel is her first short film project.
